For those of the students residing in Japan who are planning to take the JLPT in July (exam date: July 5), please note that the application for the 1st JLPT in 2026 (July) will start from March 17 (Tue) Japan time.
Please note the following when you apply for the test.
●The 2026 JLPT is primarily intended for non-native Japanese speakers who are mid-to-long-term residents or special permanent residents under Japan’s residence management system.
●In recent years, securing test sites has become extremely difficult due to a sharp increase in the number of applicants. Therefore, the 2026 JLPT may close applications even during the period due to test site constraints.
Please apply as soon as possible.
For those taking the exam outside of Japan, please check with your country or region to confirm if the July test is available.

● 近年、応募者数の急増により会場の確保が非常に困難になっております。
そのため、2026年の日本語能力試験は、会場の都合により、申込受付期間内でも受付を締め切る場合があります。
お早めのお申込みをお願いいたします。
海外受験は国、地域によるので、7月回があるかどうか、確認してみてください。
