Admission selection and Application

Q:Who can apply for the school?
A: Anyone over 16 years old can apply.
Q:Is there a deadline for admission? when?
Q:I have never studied Japanese before. Can I enroll?
A:Yes, we have the class for the beginners. It is possible to learn from the very beginning.
Q:Is it possible to enroll in the middle of the course? (Can I start taking classes at any time?)
A:Yes, you can enroll from the middle. You may be required to take a level check test and transfer to a class that suits your level.
Q:Is there a test at the time of admission?
A:There is no test for beginners. For other levels, there may be a brief test and interview to judge your level at the time of admission.
Q:Is there anything I need for admission procedures??
Q:How should I submit the documents?
A:Please apply from the online application form.
Q:Can I have a free trial? How many times can I have trials?
A:Yes, you can try it for free. Limited to once per person. Application is required in advance.

Class and School life

Q:Is it possible to take classes from overseas?
A:Yes. You can also take classes from overseas. You can take classes from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection and a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Please be sure to test the internet environment to see if you can take the course before applying.

Q:Is it possible to ask questions in my native language?
A:Yes, you can also ask questions in your native language. However, it may take some time for the teacher to answer. Asking questions in Japanese or English can be replied as soon as possible.
Q:How much English is used for Live Lessons?
A:Live Lessons will be taught in Japanese by the direct method. We also accept questions in foreign languages using email and question forms.
Q:How many people are there in one class?
A:It is a small group, and there are about 10 students per class.
Q:How long is the Live Lesson?
A:It is 90 minutes per lesson.
Q:What time is the Live Lesson time?
A: ※Japan time※ Every Wednesday and Saturday 
9:00-10:30
11:00-12:30
19:30-21:00
※This is Japan time, so please be make sure the lesson time at your time zone.
※If the number of applicants for a class time is less than the minimum number to open a class, the class of that time may not be available due to circumstances.
In that case, we will assign you to the time which is closest to your preferred time.
Q:Is the time of the Live Lesson Japan time?
A:It's Japan time.
Q:What if the Live Lesson time is in the mid-night in my country due to the time difference? Do I have to take the lesson in the middle of the night?
A:Live Lesson are held only at fixed times, but we will record all the Live Lessons, so that you can take them when you have time. We will add more class time for different areas depending on the number of the applicants.
Q:I want to communicate a lot with my teacher. Do I have other chances to communicate with my teacher other than Live Lessons?
A:Yes. There is a forum where you can interact with your teacher and also other students besides class time.
Q:Can I interact with my classmates?
A:You can interact in the forums on the school site.
Q:Where should I ask if there is something I don't understand in the Video Lessons?
A:You can ask the teacher questions from the question form on the school site.
Q:Is it possible to change classes after enrollment?
A:You can apply for a class change within the first week after enrollment.
Q:Is it possible to take classes without turning on the webcam?
A:Please turn on the camera and attend the lesson.
Q:How long can I watch the Live Lesson Recording?
A:You can browse all the Live Lesson Recording until the end of the semester.
Q:How many hours a week is ideal to study the Video Lessons?
A:It is recommended to study all the previous Video Lessons located before the Live Lesson. It would be effective if you could spend at least 3 hours a day to study Japanese.
Q:Do you have a test?
A:There are one Mid-term exam and one Final exam for each semester.
Q:What if the test fails?
A:It is possible to continue studying in the same level class repeatedly.
Q:How long can I take Video Lessons at the longest?
A:With Full Support to pass JLPT N2, you can watch all the Video Lessons for up to 5 years. However, you will need to pay the Enrollment continuation fee
Q:Will I get a certificate after I finish all the courses?
A:Yes, we will issue a certificate of completion.
Q:I forgot my password. What should I do?
A:Please reset your password on the login page.
Q:I can't log in. What should I do?
A:Please contact the administrative office.

Tuition

Q:Is there an admission fee?
A:There is no admission fee.
Q:How to pay the tuition fee?
A:You can choose from bank transfer, credit card payment, or PayPal payment.
Q:Is the tuition paid in a lump-sum payment? Is it monthly payment?
A: Bank transfer and credit card payment are available for a lump sum payment covering six months. PayPal is only available for monthly payments through a subscription.
Q:Are there any costs other than the tuition fee?
A:There is no admission fee or textbook fee. However, during the period of Full Support to pass JLPT N2, you need to pay the enrollment continuation fee of 5,000 yen for each semester (6 months). Other than that, there is no additional cost.
Q:How much is the enrollment continuation fee?
A:The enrollment continuation fee is 5,000 yen for each semester (6 months).
Q:Is it possible to cancel after paying the tuition fee? Can I get a refund?
A:Please check the school's refund policy. If you've made the payment through PayPal, all refund processes, including cashback, will be handled on PayPal. However, for payments made via bank transfer or credit card, all refund processes, including cashback and withdrawals, will be conducted through bank transfer. Please be aware that bank transfer fees are higher than those of PayPal.

Learning support

Q:I'm worried if I can keep up with the class. Is there a system to support such students?
A:We have a question form. Please feel free to ask the teacher questions there. In addition, Live Lessons are in small group. You can participate in classes anywhere you have an internet environment. You can access the recorded lessons even if you are absent.
Q:What is the Full Support to pass JLPT N2  system?
A: The Attain Online Japanese Language School has a curriculum designed so that even the beginners  can pass the JLPT N2 level in two years. We will support you to reach the level where you can pass N2 in 2 years according to the curriculum. And even if you can't reach the N2 level in 2 years at school, you can continue studying at our school for up to another 3 years with a small amount of the enrollment continuation fee.
